More than 50% of respondents are concerned or very concerned about sellers using
environmentally friendly packaging materials. However, 12% of buyers are indifferent
to this issue, which is also a noteworthy figure.

Notably, when it comes to awareness of the impact of e-commerce waste on the
environment, 41.3% of respondents expressed a neutral stance regarding changes in
their purchasing behavior.
Ultimately, even with awareness of the impact of e-commerce waste, respondents
did not adjust their buying habits. Due to the increasing demand for shopping, it is not
possible to reduce purchasing behavior; instead, we should seek alternative solutions to
this issue. This survey indicates that while people may not fully understand e-
commerce waste, they are already aware of its environmental impacts and are concerned
about sellers using environmentally friendly packaging.
4. Recommendation
To ensure that e-commerce develops rapidly while also promoting sustainable
practices and minimizing negative impacts on the environment and green economic
growth, this article presents several solutions and recommendations for stakeholders as
follows:
4.1. For government regulatory agencies:
- The government should establish regulations and promote compliance
regarding e-commerce waste management, focusing on the collection, recycling, and
