The clean mushroom growing model in Vinh Phuc with more than 100
participating farms, the output reaches 500 quintals/year, the 130-hectare safe vegetable
model produces 25,000 tons/year. Ben Tre is also the province with the largest organic
growing area in the country with more than 3,000 hectares, mainly organic coconut
growing area. Ninh Thuan is the province with the largest organic growing area in the
South Central region with nearly 500 hectares of fruit trees such as grapes and apples,
of which the organic grape growing area alone is 285 hectares. In addition, some
localities with organic agricultural production have been certified by foreign

organizations such as: Lao Cai, Ha Giang (ATC certification organization of Thailand;
EU, USDA standards of the US); Ca Mau, Lam Dong (Control Union certification
organization of the Netherlands, EU, USDA standards). The area certified by foreign

organizations nationwide to date is nearly 1,000 hectares .
Many organic agricultural models in Moc Chau - Son La apply high technology in
production, creating high-quality products, consumed domestically and exported,

increasing economic value for farmers and businesses with about 300 hectares of
agricultural land produced according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP processes.
Enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups and households applying organic
agriculture, applying technology in production all achieve high productivity, good
quality, safe environment, ensuring human health. In addition, in recent years, some
chain linkage models in agricultural production have also brought high efficiency such
as the model "Building a cooperative model linking organic rice production according

to the value chain in some northern provinces" with a scale of 570 hectares; the model
"Intensive cultivation of tea in the organic direction, linking according to the value chain
in Lao Cai province" with a scale of 20 hectares; Model "Application of biotechnology
products to build a model of linking production and consumption of organic vegetables"
with a scale of 125 hectares...
It can be seen that green agriculture and organic agriculture have made great strides

with many remarkable results. However, these results are still not commensurate with
the potential of a country with many advantages in agricultural development like
Vietnam.
4. Policies to support green agricultural development in Vietnam
In the world, green growth in general and green agricultural development in
particular have gradually become the mainstream trend. In that context, the State and
Government of Vietnam have issued a number of policies to facilitate the development
of green agriculture in a sustainable direction.

Decree No. 109/2018/ND-CP issued on August 29, 2018 on organic agriculture to
support enterprises, cooperatives, farms, households, and groups of households
