SCREENING OF ANTIBACTERIAL, ANTIFUNGAL AND CANCER CELL CYTOTOXICITY ACTIVITY OF BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM NAI LAGOON, NINH THUAN PROVINCETran Thi Hong1*, Nguy%u1ec5n Qu%u1ed1c Vi%u1ec7t2, Cao Thi Hue3, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh4,5, Ta Thi Thu Thuy4, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao4, Le Thanh Hai Ha4Abstract: The study was conducted to evaluate the potential for exploiting valuable biological substances of bacteria in the coastal lagoon ecosystem of Vietnam. The agar well diffusion method experimented with the antagonistic activity of bacterial strains isolated from the sediment samples of Nai Lagoon, Ninh Thuan province with pathogenic microorganisms. The cytotoxicity activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells and Hep G2 liver cancer cells was tested using the MTT method. The results showed that 03 strains had quite strong biological activity. Of which, strain N2 GII 14 antagonized Pseudomonas putida 3326K1 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, with antagonism zone 1 Mientrung Institute For Scientific Research, Vietnam National Museum of Nature, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, tthong@vnmn.vast.vn2 Institute of Biotechnology, VAST, Vietnam3 Thuyloi University, caohue@tlu.edu.vn4 Hanoi Open University, ngocanhcnsh@hou.edu.vn5 Graduate University of Sciences and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Ha Noi, Vietnam* Correspondence: tranhongtrn@gmail.com
