GC&R practices regularly ensures ongoing relevance and effectiveness. Besides,
providing access to online resources and e-learning modules on sustainability enables
employees to stay informed about the latest green practices and technologies.
Secondly, managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam should utilize green recruitment
platforms and job boards. The platform focuses on sustainability to improve the quality
of candidates who are aware of the benefits of implementing GHRM practices.
Managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam should update GT&D programs focused on
sustainability practices regularly to improve employee awareness and skills relating to
SGEG
Thirdly, managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam should establish specific and
measurable green performance goals for driving sustainable economic growth,
managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam incorporate green performance goals into
employee performance evaluations to enhance commitment to sustainability initiatives.
In addition, managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam should link compensation to the
achievement of sustainability goals to motivate employees to support SGEG.
Fourthly, managerial boards of SMEs in Vietnam should emphasize the
importance of collaboration among various stakeholders namely the community,
relevant ministries and business and industry associations. Such collaborations can
create a conducive environment for SMEs to integrate sustainable practices into their
business operations. This can benefit SMEs in securing their supply chains, reducing
social and environmental risks, and increasing opportunities and advantages in
competitive markets.
The above-mentioned recommendations are essential for SMEs in Vietnam to
enhance the positive impacts of GHRM practices in Vietnam’s SMEs to gain SGEG. In
other words, SGEG of SMEs requires proper policies, intensive strategies and sufficient
investment in all fields. Obviously, SMEs should play a key role in applying
synchronous and effective measures to implement GHRM practices in order to achieve
sustainable development goals.
5.2. Conclusions
Based on the study’s findings, some conclusions referring to GHRM practices in
Vietnam’s SMEs to gain SGEG are drawn. GHRM practices in Vietnam’s SMEs need
certain enhancements to enable SMEs in Vietnam to obtain environmental
sustainability. The study has identified the positive impacts of GHRM practices on
SGEG in Vietnam’s SMEs and effective ways for SMEs in Vietnam to achieve SGEG
through implementing GHRM practices.
As far as the impacts of GR&S are concerned, the respondents state that GR&S
enable enterprises to attract talents, contribute to sustainable economic growth and
improve enterprises’ reputation and brand value. Concerning impacts of GT&D, the
participants confirm that GT&D enhance employees’ satisfaction and retention, develop
a skilled workforce and lead to environmental performance and sustainable
