two parts in the survey questionnaire related to the study’s objectives. The first part was
to collect the respondents’ demographic profiles. The second part aimed at identifying
the relationship between four facets of GHRM practices known as green recruitment and
selection, green training and development, green performance management and green
compensation and rewards with SGEG of SMEs in Vietnam.
The respondents were provided with statements, to which they could indicate their
agreement or disagreement by selecting responses from a five-point Likert scale, from
1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral (neither agree nor disagree), 4 = agree
and 5 = strongly agree. The responses were processed to measure the agreement level in
terms of means and standard deviations. The five-point Likert scale with its descriptive
ratings was used in the survey as presented in Table 1.

4. Findings and discussion
The survey questionnaire was conducted to collect data on the respondents’
opinions on GHRM practices for SGEG in Vietnam’s SMEs. The respondents were
asked to which level they agreed or disagreed with the given proposition on a 5-point
Likert scale. The respondents’ opinions on the positive impacts of GHRM practices on
SGEG for SMEs in Vietnam are summarized in the following tables.
Table 2 below presents the respondents' opinions on the impacts of GR&S on
SGEG in Vietnam’s SMEs with the average weighted mean of 3.63 and a standard
deviation of 0.82. The respondents come to an agreement with all the impacts known as
helping enterprises attract talents with strong commitments to sustainability,
contributing positively to the enterprises’ sustainable economic growth, enabling
enterprises to achieve their sustainability goals and leading enterprises to improve
enterprises’ reputation and brand value with a weighted mean of 3.76, 3.46, 3.52 and
3.69 accordingly.
