Table 4 indicates the respondents’ opinions on the impacts of GPM on SGEG in
Vietnam’s SMEs, the average weighted mean of 3.63 and standard deviation of 0.81.
The impact driving continuous improvement in environmental and economic
performances was ranked the highest with a weighted mean of 3.92 while the effects
namely enhancing the overall competitiveness of businesses in the green economy and

promoting greater employee engagement and satisfaction were ranked the second and
the third with the weighted mean of 3.68 and 3.53 respectively. The respondents have a
neutral view on the effect of enhancing organizations’ abilities to meet sustainability
targets and goals with a weighted mean of 3.39.

Table 5 shows the respondents’ viewpoints on the impacts of GC&R on SGEG in
Vietnam’s SMEs with the weighted mean of 3.78 and standard deviation of 0.81. The
respondents evaluated the impact bringing about cost savings and resources efficiency
the highest with a weighted mean of 3.89. The two impacts promoting employees to
actively participate in green initiatives activities and enhancing employee engagement
