82 PROCEEDINGS OF INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON APPLIED BIOTECHNOLOGY400 %u00b5g/mL, both studied compounds were associated with the SC values of more than 65%. The SC values were decreased in the line with decreases in the tested concentrations. As a consequence, compounds 1-2 showed strong antioxdative activity the IC50values of 33.23 %u00b1 0.03 and 38.41 %u00b1 0.05 mg/mL, compared with that of the standard ascorbic acid (IC50 = 10.38 %u00b1 0.01 mg/mL).Table 1. Another flavonoids from green propolis, namely quercetin 3-methyl ether and 3,3%u2019-O-dimethylquercetin acted as scavengers with the corresponding IC50 values of 12.4 and 16.23 %u00b5g/mL [11]. The immunomodulatory action of caatinga propolis and its constituents at noncytotoxic concentrations, specifically an antiinflammatory activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated cells by inhibiting cytokine production [12].
