SECTION II. APPLIED BIOTECHNOLOGY IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY... 457weaning weight (96,61 vs. 90,60 kg), and higher average daily gain (ADG) (0,76 vs. 0,71 kg/day) compared to calves born in winter.Statistical analysis indicates that ADG and weaning weight have a significant impact on calf growth (p < 0.001), while birth season is not statistically significant (p = 0.156). The regression model explains 70.76% of the data variation, with ADG having a negative effect and weaning weight having a positive effect on the dependent variable. These findings align with recent studies on dairy calf growth, emphasizing the importance of ADG and weaning weight in the overall development of calves. The research results show that when high technology is applied in the husbandry of HF cattle, it helps the farm control, monitor, and quickly achieve appropriate indicators for the HF breed newly raised for the first time in Phu Yen. This not only confirms the effectiveness of advanced farming methods but also opens up prospects for sustainable development of the dairy industry in regions with conditions similar to Phu Yen.Keywords: Calf; calf weaning weight gain; Holstein; weaning; dairy cattle.1. INTRODUCTIONThe dairy industry plays a crucial role in global agriculture. In Vietnam, dairy farming has developed strongly and has a long history in Nghe An, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Moc Chau, and some southern provinces. However, this is the first time a large-scale, high-investment project has been implemented in Phu Yen. This project uses herd management software, a modern milk system, and high-tech feed mixing to manage data and care for cattle and cows with the best genes from the United States.
