Analysis of variance table for calf birth weights in Phu YenThe average birth weight of HF calves in Phu Yen is 35.59 %u00b1 3.94 kg, with a coefficient of variation (CV%) of 11%. This result is similar to the study by Tran Quang Hanh (2010) [7] on HF cattle raised in households in Moc Chau (34.42 %u00b1 3.43 kg %u2013 35.02 %u00b1 3.41 kg) and falls within the range reported in international studies (36.79 kg to 40.1 kg). A study by Barua et al. (2022) [1] in Bangladesh also reported an average birth weight of HF calves as 35.5 %u00b1 0.3 kg, very close to our results. However, Unalan, A., & Yazgan, E. (2017) [8], in Turkey, recorded a higher birth weight (38.7 %u00b1 0.5 kg). Overall, the birth weights are comparable to HF calves raised in other countries.3.1.2.
