In Vietnam, green growth is crucial for environmental protection and enhancing
competitiveness. According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, if green growth
solutions are successfully implemented, Vietnam could achieve an additional 5-6%
GDP growth per year. By 2023, 45 provinces and cities nationwide have implemented
this plan, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, greening production, and
sustainable consumption. Localities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang
have adopted various specific measures to promote sustainable development.
For instance, Ho Chi Minh City has launched green programs like renewable
energy development, pollution reduction, and increased green space. Quang Ninh
Province focuses on developing eco-tourism and clean industries, while Binh Duong
emphasizes converting industrial zones to eco-industrial parks. These efforts not only
drive economic development but also improve environmental quality, create new job
opportunities, and enhance residents' quality of life.
Dong Nai has several advantages in developing green industrial zones due to its
robust industrial infrastructure, with over 30 operational industrial zones. The local
government has implemented various supportive policies, prioritizing projects that use
clean technology and minimize pollution. Dong Nai also benefits from international
cooperation, such as partnerships with Kobe City (Japan) to establish a green-smart
industrial zone at Long Duc Industrial Park. These advantages not only attract foreign
investment but also promote sustainable development, reduce negative environmental
impacts, and improve residents' quality of life.
Green growth plays an essential role in promoting sustainable development for
enterprises in Dong Nai. Applying this model helps businesses reduce pollution, save
energy and resources, thus enhancing production efficiency. Dong Nai has become a
pioneer in converting industrial zones to ecological models, increasing competitiveness
and attracting investment from green financial sources and international support. These
benefits contribute significantly to building a sustainable and environmentally friendly
economy in Dong Nai Province.
Thus, researching measures to promote green growth in enterprises in Dong Nai
Province is crucial for supporting green and sustainable economic development. This is
the reason we conduct this study.
