Abstract: Recently, green growth has become a key indicator in assessing a nation's economic
performance and has emerged as a global trend that various localities are increasingly prioritizing,
with Dong Nai Province being no exception. Despite receiving attention from state agencies, Dong Nai
has not yet achieved the anticipated results. To gain a clearer understanding of this issue, we analyzed
and evaluated the current stat of green growth promotion in enterprises using data from state agency
reports. Our research indicates that while green growth offers numerous benefits to enterprises—such
as meeting consumer demand, complying with export standards, enhancing corporate social
responsibility, creating brand value, fostering technological innovation, modernizing production, and
accessing financial incentives—there are still gaps in its implementation. Based on these findings, we
propose several measures to promote green growth in enterprises in Dong Nai Province moving
forward.

1. Introduction
Green growth has become a central focus in the development policies of many
countries to achieve sustainable development goals. Countries such as South Korea,
Singapore, Japan, and several Western European nations like Germany, the UK, France,
and the Netherlands have committed strongly to green growth. In Vietnam, the
government has implemented the green growth strategy for the 2021-2030 period with
a vision to 2050, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, green production and
consumption, and transform the growth model towards sustainable development.
Experiences from pioneering countries in green growth offer valuable lessons for
Vietnam.
Given the need to address global population growth and environmental issues,
green growth has emerged as a sustainable development model encompassing three
interrelated components: economic development, social welfare, and environmental
protection.
Green growth plays a crucial role in the modern economy by balancing economic
development with environmental protection. By adopting green growth solutions, the
economy can optimize resource use, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollution,
thereby protecting human health and ecosystems. Additionally, green growth drives
technological innovation, creates new job opportunities, and enhances national
competitiveness in the international market. This ensures long-term sustainable and
stable development while meeting international commitments on environmental
protection and climate change adaptation.
