SECTION I: MOLECULAR GENETIC ENGINEERING AND BIOCHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY 91characteristic compounds of its rhizome oil [4]. The rhizome oil, derived from Tam Dao National Park, Vinhphuc, was associated with 1,8-cineol (31.78%), and E, E-farnesol (10.62%) [5].Siliquamomum oreodoxa N.S.L%u00fd & %u0160korni%u010dk was identified as a new species in 2010 (Figure 1) [1]. This plant can be detected in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, Lamdong [1]. There have been several preliminary studies on its essential oils with monoterpenes and their oxygenated derivatives being the main chemical classes [6,7]. The current research wishes to describe the extensive chemical analysis of the leaf oil of this plant, as well as its application in antimicrobial treatment. Experimental results have been further aided by a computational approach.Figure 1. The images of plant used in this study2. MATERIALS AND METHODS 2.1. MaterialsThe fresh leaves of S. oreodoxa were collected from Bidoup Nui Ba National Park Cong Troi station, along the road between Yang Ly and Hon Giao (12%u00b010%u201941.9%u2019%u2019N, and 108%u00b043%u201926.4%u2019%u2019E), Lam Dong province, Vietnam, in March 2022. The voucher specimen Ly-955 has been deposited in the VNM Herbarium, Institute of Tropical Biology.
