208 PROCEEDINGS OF INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON APPLIED BIOTECHNOLOGYboroniphilus, B. altitudinis and Virgibacillus senegalensis isolated from marine habitats in Mexico,... [16].From the above research results, it can be seen that the harsh environments in coastal lagoons are sources of microorganisms capable of producing beneficial compounds to treat infectious diseases and even some types of cancer.5. CONCLUSIONSFrom the sediment samples of Nai Lagoon, Ninh Thuan province, Vietnam, 28 bacterial strains were screened with antibacterial, antifungal, and inhibitory activities against two experimental cancer cell lines, MCF-7 (breast cancer cells) and Hep G2 (liver cancer cells). Among them, the three strains with the highest biological activity were N2 GII14, N6 GII4 and N1 AIA6. Strain N2 GII14 antagonized P. putida 3326K1 and S. aureusATCC 6538, with an antibacterial zone of 26 - 30 mm, causing very low toxicity to 2 experimental cancer cells and normal cells HEK 293T, 16S rRNA identification of this strain belongs to the species Bacillus amyloloquefaciens. Strain N6 GII4 antagonized B. cereus ATCC 11778 and C. abicans ATCC 10231, with an antibacterial zone of 21 - 30 mm, cytotoxic activity similar to strain N2 GII14, 16S rRNA identification of this strain belongs to the species Bacillus siamensis. And finally, strain N1 AIA6, only antagonized strain E. coli ATCC 11105, with an antibacterial zone of 17 mm, but this strain was strongly toxic to both cancer cell lines studied (CSMCF-7 = 16.5%, and CSHep G2 = 8.2%), not cytotoxic to normal cells (CSHEK 293T = 100%), 16S rRNA identification of this strain belongs to the species Acinetobacter sp. Thus, the obtained research results, indicate that coastal lagoons in Vietnam are a potential source for exploiting microorganisms with high biological activity. However, to be able to apply the above 3 potential bacterial strains, further more in-depth studies are needed, such as determining the chemical composition of each
