FOREWORDResearch and development in biotechnology are strategic and critical goals for the socio-economic development of many countries worldwide, including Vietnam. The application of biotechnology brings valuable contributions to human health care and protection. This ensures sustainable development, environmental conservation, economic efficiency, and broader benefits for the global community, including cultural and social advancements.In Vietnam, biotechnology development is regarded as one of the strategic missions for advancing the national economy. The Vietnamese government has focused investments through national, ministerial, and sectoral key science and technology programs and tasks, creating mechanisms for the industry%u2019s growth. As a result, numerous achievements in biotechnology have been applied in practice.
