5. Conclusion
Green economic growth is a necessary issue that has been mentioned by world
economists for decades. Green economy is a part of sustainable economic development.
However, in Vietnam, for businesses, this is a very new issue, requiring large resources
to implement. On the government side, Vietnam has made efforts by competent
authorities in building institutions and laws. On November 1, 2023, the Ministry of
Planning and Investment issued Circular No. 10/2023/TT-BKHĐT on the regulation of
a set of green growth statistical indicators; HPG is a group in the "top pioneers" of
technological innovation to produce "green steel", this is a significant effort of the
group's leadership. However, the results achieved are only initial. The article has
evaluated a number of business performance indicators and the group's asset
management capabilities, especially pointing out the basic points in technological
innovation of the two steel production complexes in Hai Duong and Quang Ngai and
some governance implications. However, the article has not yet obtained the indicators:
greenhouse gas emission intensity; the ratio of renewable energy/total energy used; the
ratio of solid waste from production activities collected and treated and the ratio of solid
waste from production activities treated by direct landfilling. On the other hand, the
article only mentions the green economy mainly in the two complexes above while the
group has up to 17 member units. In the following articles, the group of authors continues
to research and present. To strive to successfully achieve the national target roadmap on
neutral emissions by 2050, the government needs to focus on investing financial and
human resources in policies to support businesses in green economic growth; at the same
time, there is a mechanism to closely monitor and inspect the implementation process.
