According to Table 8, all scales have Item-rest correlation coefficients greater than
0.3 and Test scale alpha coefficients equal to 0.6503 (greater than 0.6), so the authors
will use the survey results of these scales to propose recommendations for developing
green credit for individual customers consuming green industrial products at
Vietnamese commercial banks.
3. Recommendations
In order to contribute to the development of green credit for individual customers
consuming green industrial products at Vietnamese commercial banks, the authors
propose the following recommendations:
Recommendations for Vietnamese commercial banks
Firstly, based on consumers' desire to consume green industrial products to
improve their personal quality of life, based on the policy of forming and growing a
green economy, Vietnamese commercial banks need to prioritize the completion and
development of green credit products for individual customers consuming green
industrial products (called green consumer credit). This green consumer credit product
can include: Green home loans (providing loans with preferential interest rates for
customers who buy or build houses that meet energy-saving standards or use renewable
energy); Green car loans (financial support for customers to buy electric vehicles or
vehicles using clean energy); Lending to buy green household products (providing
consumer loans for environmentally friendly purposes such as purchasing energy-saving
household appliances that are made from natural ingredients and do not contain harmful
chemicals during use or contact).
Second, Vietnamese commercial banks need to have specific green consumer
credit products for each individual customer group and product development goals in
order to effectively distribute products to individual consumers. In terms of age, most
middle-aged people (from 36 to 60 years old) have the desire to use green credit services
to consume green products. The group of young consumers (under 30 years old) have
less desire due to their modest occupation and income, so they will be consulted and
given incentives by banks on green consumer credit services. Regarding family income,
not only consumers with high incomes (16 - 60 million VND/month) have demands for
green consumer credit products. It can be seen that at an average
