However, the textile and garment industry is also a sector that creates more risks
for the environment and society than other industries due to the discharge of large
amounts of water, the use of a lot of energy for heating, etc. The following period may

be a time with many difficulties for Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises: reduced
profits, a narrowing market and a lot of competition from countries such as India,
Bangladesh... Reasons come from key markets with high requirements for green labels,
standards for accessing green finance, requirements for rules of origin of new-
generation Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), competition from other national textile and
garment enterprises that have met green building standards... The green transformation

of the textile industry will help save production costs, reduce dependence on natural
resources, minimize adverse impacts of the production process
