A comparison of the spectral data for compound 5 with the spectral data for (7S,8R,8%u2019R)-5%u2019-methoxy isolariciresinol in the literature [13] shows complete agreement. Therefore, compound 5 was identified as (7S,8R,8%u2019R)-5%u2019-methoxy isolariciresinol.
