needs. Meanwhile, the linkage between businesses in Vietnam in general and Hanoi in

particular can be basically in the early stages. Although the government, as well as many
international organizations, have supported the development of these links, the level of
improvement in business linkages between enterprises, especially the effectiveness of
the linkages, is still very limited; the linkages and cooperation relationships are mainly
through simple cooperation rather than in value chains or tight production network.
Although there are still many difficulties, businesses in Hanoi are always proactive
in green transformation. In the context that the world is moving towards sustainable
green growth, green production and green accounting not only help businesses save

electricity costs and lower product costs but also open up opportunities for businesses to
enter fastidious markets.
4.2. Advantages and disadvantages of applying green accounting in enterprises
in Hanoi
4.2.1. Advantages
There are some notable advantages of applying green accounting at this time.

Firstly, the demand for sustainable products and services is increasing as green
consumption is becoming a trend today, and consumers in big cities like Hanoi are more
interested in brands and trademarks that clearly express the message of environmental
protection. Customers are interested in the company's invention and practical actions to
ensure sustainable development and environmental protection. Therefore, businesses
need to have specific and proactive activities in green transformation, reduce emissions
and have a plan to use environmentally friendly energy and raw materials. Implementing

green accounting helps businesses adjust their business activities in an environmentally
friendly direction, which not only helps businesses ensure the requirements for
protecting a school but also attracts customers and creates a competitive advantage.
Secondly, enterprises can get support from the government. The Vietnamese
government affirms that "Green growth is an important component of sustainable
development," and in Capital Planning, Hanoi has a development orientation associated

with green transformation and digital transformation. The Vietnamese government and
Hanoi authority have issued policies to promote investment and development in
renewable energy, as well as improve emission reduction technologies, produce new
materials to replace traditional materials. State management agencies also adjust the
planning of sectors and fields, limit production and business sectors that use resources
inefficiently and pollute the environment, besides having a strategy to build a green
lifestyle. By applying green accounting, businesses will meet legal regulations and also
receive legal and financial support from the State.
