also focused on reducing its environmental impact through water and energy
conservation measures. Traphaco’s commitment to sustainability has helped it secure a

strong market position and build trust among environmentally conscious consumers
                  (Nguyen & Nguyen, 2021).
The future of green transformation in Vietnam is promising, particularly as
businesses increasingly recognize the importance of sustainability for long-term growth
and competitiveness. However, overcoming challenges related to financial constraints,
awareness, and technological barriers will be critical for ensuring the widespread
adoption of green practices. As the Vietnamese government continues to promote green
growth and invest in renewable energy infrastructure, businesses will have more

opportunities to adopt green technologies and practices. Moreover, as global demand
for sustainable products and services continues to grow, Vietnamese enterprises that
embrace green transformation will be better positioned to compete in international
                  markets and attract investment.
3.3. Dual transformation in Vietnamese enterprises: digital and green synergy
The concept of dual transformation refers to the simultaneous integration of both

digital transformation (DT) and green transformation (GT) within an enterprise. These
two strategic shifts are no longer seen as separate but complementary processes that,
when combined, can create synergies for increased efficiency, sustainability, and
competitiveness. For Vietnamese enterprises, embracing dual transformation is essential
in addressing the challenges of global competition, environmental degradation, and
evolving market demands. This section explores the drivers, challenges, and benefits of
dual transformation in Vietnamese businesses and presents examples of successful

                  integration.
3.3.1. Drivers of dual transformation in Vietnam
Several forces are driving Vietnamese enterprises to adopt both digital and green
                  transformation strategies:
Firstly, Government policies and national priorities: The Vietnamese government
has emphasized the importance of both digital and green transformation through policies

aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth and technological innovation. The
National Digital Transformation Program 2025 and the Vietnam Green Growth Strategy
2021-2030 provide clear directives for businesses to adopt advanced digital technologies
while simultaneously reducing their environmental footprint (Vietnam Ministry of
Information and Communications, 2020; Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment,
2021). These policies not only set environmental targets but also encourage the adoption
of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and the Internet of Things
(IoT) to support energy efficiency, waste reduction, and cleaner production.

Government incentives, such as tax reductions for businesses investing in green
technologies and digital solutions, further motivate enterprises to pursue dual
                  transformation.
Secondly, international market demands: As Vietnam becomes increasingly
integrated into global supply chains, Vietnamese enterprises face pressure from

                                                                                                         194
