The sustainable agricultural model has the following highlights:
(1) By-products are used as animal feed. Rice husks and sawdust are sold to third
parties. Wastewater from production is thoroughly treated for agricultural use such as
irrigation or fish farming.
(2) Various types of packaging such as tin cans, plastic bottles, bottle caps, and
beer crates are collected and recycled. Bottle caps specifically can be processed into
steel to build bridges in economically challenged areas.
(3) Company employees are educated about consuming environmentally friendly
products and encouraged to save water and energy. There is an emphasis on increasing
charitable activities and using recycled materials for events.
(4) By 2025, Heineken Vietnam aims to achieve 100% water replenishment for its
production processes, utilize 100% renewable energy, and ensure 100% of waste is
recycled, reused, or properly treated.
3.3. Circular economy model of PAN Group
PAN Group consistently promotes a circular economy approach towards
sustainable development as a critical selection criterion. The story of implementing
circular economy models among its members can be seen as a successful initial step.
With pioneering and innovative strategies, PAN has not only been ranked among the
