Resource and Environmental Management
In environmental resource management, AI helps improve management efficiency
and protect natural resources while minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
Monitoring and Data Collection: AI is applied in environmental monitoring
systems through the use of sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. These
sensors collect real-time data on air, water, soil quality, and other variables, providing
managers with accurate and timely information to respond quickly to environmental
issues. AI can help reduce environmental monitoring costs by up to 30% compared to
traditional methods due to its automation and big data analysis capabilities (McKinsey
Report).
Water Resource Management: AI can optimize water resource management
through systems that analyze data on water sources, usage demand, and climate factors.
This technology helps reduce water waste and ensures appropriate water supply for
agriculture, industry, and daily living. The application of AI in water management can
minimize water waste by up to 50% in agriculture. AI assists farmers in predicting the
timing and amount of water needed based on weather conditions and crop demands
(World Bank Study).
Optimizing Renewable Energy: AI helps coordinate and efficiently manage the
use of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower. By analyzing
data on weather forecasts and energy demand, AI can help optimize energy usage,
minimize waste, and enhance efficiency. According to a report by the International
Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the application of AI in renewable energy systems
can improve energy efficiency by up to 20% and reduce CO2 emissions by 100 million
tons annually worldwide.
Waste and Pollution Monitoring: AI supports waste monitoring and management
systems, helping to minimize waste, optimize recycling processes, and
