ASEAN needs to continue strengthening regional and international cooperation in
order to share experiences, learn from each other and mobilize resources for the
development of the green economy. This can be done through:
Establishment of green alliances in the region: Countries can establish green
economy alliances or councils to promote cooperation in green technology research,
development and application.
Mobilizing capital from international organizations: ASEAN can take advantage
of financial opportunities from the World Bank (WB), Asian Development Bank (ADB)
and other financial institutions to implement large-scale green projects.
Raising awareness and community responsibility
Finally, ASEAN needs to promote raising awareness about the green economy in
the community and businesses. Propaganda and education campaigns need to be stepped
up to:
Encouraging people to participate in environmental protection activities, use
renewable energy and sustainable consumption.
Boost your business, develop sustainable development strategies, apply green
production standards and minimize environmental impacts.
6. Conclusion
Green economic growth is currently a global trend to achieve a green and
sustainable world. ASEAN countries are in line with this trend by embracing green
economic growth. To implement these goals and declarations, regional cooperation and
coordination among countries, ministries and relevant agencies are essential. Raising
awareness and developing specific policies for green economic growth is crucial for
each country to contribute to the overall goals of the region. With a focus on sustainable
development, ASEAN is committed to working with global partners to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions, protect biodiversity, conserve ecosystems and address
climate change issues towards a clean, green and sustainable world.
