allows for the efficient mobilization of public resources while leveraging the agility and
innovation capacity of the private sector, thereby accelerating structural transformation
across industries.
5. Conclusion
Business model innovation has emerged as a critical driver of enhanced firm
performance, competitive capability, and deeper global integration for Vietnamese
enterprises. In the digital economy and the era of sustainability-oriented development,
reconfiguring value creation, delivery, and capture mechanisms is no longer optional but
a strategic imperative. Empirical evidence and case analyses—including large
conglomerates and technology-driven enterprises—demonstrate that innovation-
oriented transformation can strengthen operational efficiency, expand market presence,
and improve long-term competitiveness. However, sustainable success requires
coordinated efforts across multiple dimensions. Promoting business model innovation
demands a tripartite commitment among the state, enterprises, and society. The
government plays a facilitative role through institutional reform and enabling policies;
enterprises must proactively invest in technology, human capital, and strategic
transformation; and market demand, shaped by increasingly sophisticated consumers,
acts as a powerful catalyst for innovation. Through such coordinated action, Vietnamese
enterprises can enhance their positioning within global value chains and contribute more
substantially to national economic development.
